SC Johnson, are you crazy?
We love these bags for freezing our fish catch. But...................... why for 8 bags? Somebody explain.......Are they made of some exotic plastic? Can't find them in our stores anymore where they were .50 for 8 gallon size just 6 months ago. Like I said, a great product but way over priced.


Ziploc Vacuum Pump bags are the best sealing bags I've bought
In the past, I've wasted my money by buying vacuum bag sealing kits and can never get them to seal as tightly or as well as the Ziploc bags. The sealing pump from Ziploc is easy to use and easy to clean. I've even put the parts of the sealer unit in the dishwasher (top shelf) although that's not really necessary - a little soap and hot water are adequate to clean the sealer.

I bought these refill bags from Amazon.com because they stopped carrying the gallon size bags at my local grocery store. I can still buy the quart size bags at the store, but there are times I just need to seal something a little larger.

The main trick is the make sure the zipper on the bag is completely sealed before putting the pump on the valve. Then it is easy to hand pump the excess air out to make a airtight seal. This is great for extending the life of foods that you store.

Another neat thing about Ziploc's unit is that it doesn't require batteries and is quiet. There's another zipper close brand of bags that works almost as good, but uses a battery operated pump that is very noisy and needs new batteries every once in a while.


Great for storage and Sous-Vide!
While I found these for much cheaper in my local supermarket I just wanted to post a review of them here. These are somewhat pricey, especially if you don't have the ability to reuse them but the vacuum holds very well both in the freezer or a hot car (keeping snacks from drying out). I also used these to cook up some steaks Sous-Vide style and they worked great. So far it only looks like you get their pump with the quart sized bags but since I'll probably be using them more often I should have more than a few on hand. If the price were similar to the regular bags it's probably all I would use.

bags are OK but can be a little trickie to use. one has to work the pump around the seal to get it to vacuum.


Awsome product!
I love this product! Food stays soooo much fresher in the fridge & freezer! BUT have a hard time finding it in my area. So glad I found it on Amazon.com!

    I wish I had a crystal ball and bought every bag was Reynolds, my Handi-Vac because I love. . . they are still sold in stores. 8 bags of 44 dollars. 00 and nuts. I am very disappointed Reynolds. Rating: 5.1

    In the past, I lost my money by buying kits seal vacuum bags and can never make or hermetically sealed, and Ziploc bags. Pump seals Ziploc is easy to use and easy to clean. I am even part of the unity of the sealant in the dishwasher (top shelf), even if it is not really needed – a little soap and hot water enough to seal clean. I bought these bags fill up the Amazon. com, because they no longer carry the bags gallons at my local grocery store. I can still buy the quart size bags to store, but there are times when I need is a little more attached grand.L trick is the most important, make sure that the zipper is fully in the bag before the pump sealed to the valve. Then it is easy to make a hand pump the excess air, a good seal. It is for extending the life of the food you stockez.Une other nice thing about the device perfectly Ziploc is that it requires no batteries and is silent. There is another brand in the near zipper pockets, which works almost as well, but uses a battery-powered pump is loud and needs new batteries from time to time. Rating: 5.5

    Although I find this much cheaper in my local supermarket, I wanted to post only one review of them here. They are a bit expensive, especially if you do not have the ability to reuse, but the vacuum is very good, both in the freezer or in a hot car (keeping dry snacks). I also used to cook the steaks a few style vacuum and it worked great. So far it looks to you to them with quarter-size bags pump, but I’ll probably use it more often, I would have more than a few on hand. If prices are similar to ordinary bags, it’s probably all I would utilisation.Recommandées (Check locally for a better price if) Rating: 5.5

    Bags are OK, but a bit trickie be used. have to work around the pump to do the packing under vacuum. Rating: 5.3
