just as described
The item was received in two days and was just as advertised. My concern that it was a generic was unfounded because the product fit perfectly. I continue to be amazed at amazon's ability to find products and ship them as quickly as they can.


Good Replacement Filter for Eureka
Seems to work as well as the original in pulling out the dust and dirt. Minor complaint-you better have Schwartzenegger's muscles to push it all the way on and then be able to remove it.


Fits well on my machine
This advertised as generic (which it is), rather than "genuine Eureka" (which it isn't). So kudos for truth in advertising. And, for my machine, it fit just like the OEM. Definitely worth the savings from OEM.


I also agree with Anthropologist's 6/10/2008 review
The filter is too narrow in diameter for my Eureka 5848AV Whirlwind vaccuum cleaner. The first time I installed the filter ( with great difficulty ) , and then tried remove it, I was afraid that I was going to break the plastic dust canister.
I finally was able to get it off without breaking anything. The next time I put a tiny smear of oil on the inside of the filter. That seemed to help me get the filter on and off without fear of breaking the canister. It's still a tight squeeze.

Also the filter is a smidgen too tall. I can get the cap of the canister on over the filter, but it's still annoying.
I may try dinging it with a hammer to flatten it so there's a little more clearance under the cap. What were the manufacturer's thinking when they mass produced this ?


I agree with the other reviewer
I have used the generic version most of the time because that all that I can seem to find. Everyone in a while I can find an original (it's black, not yellow like the generic). The yellow generic one just doesn't fit right and causes my vacuum not to fit back together properly and decreases it suction power. I want the old original ones back!

    The filter diameter is too narrow for my own Vacuum Eureka 5848AV Whirlwind. The first time I installed the filter (with hardship), and then tried to delete, I was afraid I would dust the tank plastique.J’ve finally managed to go to break, without breaking anything. The next time I need a small drop of oil in the filter. This seems to help me, the filter on and off without fear of breaking the bottle. It’s still a squeeze serré.Aussi the filter is a bit too big. I can bottle on the filter, but it is always still hang ennuyeux.Je can use a hammer to get it so flat it is playing is a little more trying than the CAP. What were the thoughts of the manufacturer if they mass-produced them? Rating: 5.1

    This as a generic (which it is), rather than “real Eureka” (was not). So, congratulations to the truth in advertising. And fit for my machine, as well as the announced OEM. Definitely worth saving OEMs. Rating: 5.5

    I used the generic version in particular because it can all I seem to find. Everyone in a while I can find an original (it is black, not yellow as generics). Yellow generic drugs do not fit well and give myself not install vacuum back together correctly and reduces the suction. I want the old home back! Rating: 5.1

    Finally, the rubber gasket is worn away at the beginning of this filter, and when that happens, is the performance of your vacuum. Find a new filter is Eureka really hard, so I was glad to see this on Amazon.ca filter is very good as a filter, but it is not an exact match for the DCF-3. It is a bit too big and the inside diameter is too small. It is difficult to get the cover over the filter, and as soon as the filter far enough to block the lid on, it is very difficult to filter off again for nettoyer.Donc I would have recommended going with the real Eureka, is this is not a generic term “Eureka” (it is not really a part of Eureka – and the label is misleading) – if you find it. Rating: 5.1
