WOW!
I just bought this vacuum on clearance from Fred Meyer for $[...]. It might just be the best $[...] I have ever spent! I am hard on vacuums with 2 indoor cats and 1 indoor rabbit. The vacuum has to be able to handle the very fine hair of the constantly shedding bunny as well as the heavy cat litter. Just after my last vacuum died on me a few days ago I spilled a bunch of cat litter on the carpet. Not only did the windtunnel pick up the cat litter but it didn't kick back one piece at my legs like every other vacuum does. It also doesn't kick up dust in front of it. This is an AMAZING vacuum!

Great Vacuum at a Great Price
I love my Hoover. It does a great job and you can't beat the price.....


Poor design, Worked 2 weeks and broke
I was pretty excited to try this vacuum out after reading the reviews and for the first little while it worked fine. After about 2 weeks of using the vacuum the roller seized up and the belt broke. I replaced the belt but the roller would not turn. After taking a closer look I realized a major flaw. (I'll try to explain it with my limited knowledge of vacuum part names), there are 2 parts of the roller cylinder: A) the part turned by the belt and the center piece that has the brushes and stuff.
If the roller gets any hair or dirt wrapped up in it, it causes resistance in which causes the belt part of the roller to turn and not the brush part. Unfortunately the end pieces of the cylinder are threaded on with screws that expand if the belt turns without the brushes and causes more resistance because the screws get so tight the brushes wont turn anymore. In other words, if the brushes stall for any reason, the vacuum cylinder winds up tighter and tighter so it seizes up and requires you to take it apart.

I dont know if this makes sense to anyone but me but the bottom line is this vacuum has a poor design and wont last and requires a ton of maintenance to keep it working.


Works well
I only paid for this so I'm really pleased with it's performance. It's noisy, but who cares? Still running after 3 years.
