A Beautiful Dream turned into Nightmare!
I WAS an IRobot fan. My first Roomba mas model 410, even though it was the cheapest model it worked fabulously well. Then I got a Scooba 380 and in the course of a year it broke 4 times. It kept going into the drying mode before completing the cleaning cycle. Every single replacement worked well for around 2 months and then it would break. In the final exchange I was so enraged for having paid 0 for this that I wanted instead of a replacement for another Scooba that would break, a Roomba. And guess what? In less than 6 months the Roomba 560 broke! It started to give the "Remove and Clean the Brushes" message. Brushes were clean, everything was checked and it kept on going with the same problem again and again. Nothing worked! End of story: These robots are a wonderful idea that doesn't work well.
Expensive toys that don't last long!
I WILL NEVER EVER AGAIN BUY ANOTHER IROBOT PRODUCT.

WASTE OF MONEY, ALL IROBOT PRODUCTS STINK
THIS PRODUCT DOES NOT CLEAN IN CORNORS AS PROMISED, GETS STUCK CONSTANTLY AND BATTERY LIFE STINKS.
SURPRISINGLY IT HAS NOT BROKEN YET, I AM SURE WHEN IT DOES (AND BASED ON MY EXPERIENCES WITH IROBOT ROOMBA AND VERRO) THEY WILL REFUSE TO HONOR THE WARRENTY.
I BOUGHT THE IRBOT PRODUCTS HOPING TO MAKE MY WIFE'S LIFE EASIER...I WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER OFF THROWING ALL THAT MONEY OUT THE WINDOW.
BOTTOM LINE, IROBOT LIES IN THEIR ADVERTISMENTS, MAKES A DEFECTIVE AND OVER PRICED PRODUCT, HAS HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SUPPORT AND DOES NOT HONOR ITS WARRENTIES...CAN YOUU SAY...STAY AWAY?

Save your $$$
To be brief... This is my 4th replacement of this model, and as of yesterday, I'll be sending my current scooba back. All previous ones have been defective and/or broken. It takes a real effort just to get this thing ready to clean. You need to shoot water in the dirty water tank and shake several times and then prime the pump before every single use. This is timely and messy. The unit is very noisy. While it does seem to place cleaning solution down and eventually pick up some of the solution during the cycle, much water remains on the floor. Then you end up with water streaks. Don't expect to just leave the unit running while you go out. More often than not, the unit will get stuck, or the dirty water tank will fill up and cause the cycle to stop. Then it's back to the sink to shoot water into the dirty water tank and prime the pump and hope that the unit is ready to start up again.
Seriously, I so wanted the Scooba to work. I gave them many many chances to prove me wrong, even upgrading from the 350 to the 380 model. It just is a big waste! A Swiffer or Bona Cleaner will be much faster and more effective.
On the good side, Irobot Customer Support has been very proactive each time I call. They have replaced my units and Virtual Walls several times. Unfortunately, I've also had to pay to ship the old units back on several occassions. Would rather have my $$$ back though!

I don't mop my floor anymore..
I don't spend 30 minutes washing my floor anymore, instead I spend 60 minutes playing with a robot.
Cleaning the brushes, vigorously washing the tank, and trying to get the thing back together.
Finding out why the tank doesn't close properly - why the brushes just don't slot back in. Reading diagnostic manuals as to why the sensor detects the full tank to be empty this time. Running the test program.
Wasting another tank full of expensive solution as I try to prime the pump again.
When it goes, it does get the floors clean. It even picks up extra dirt from a floor I've already washed.
The mop in the cupboard is starting to look like a time saver..

Cleans Well, But Dies After Only a Couple Months of Use
I bought this product as part of a Roomba, Scooba, Dirt Dog package. I hate washing floors and thought I had found the answer.
I made this purchase in September of 2008.
Problem 1: The floor washing bot arrived, however, it did not actually suck up the water. I contacted IRobot support who sent me in new cleaning head in September of 2008. I should have known this would be a sign. I proceeded to use the washing bot about two times a week.
Problem 2: In March of 2009, the robot went into "Diagnostic Mode." I once again contacted IRobot who told me it needed to be replaced and they would do an in-Warranty exchange. I had to pay for the shipping.
Problem 3: The replacement robot arrived and it kept spinning and spinning and wouldn't clean. It never cleaned anything. So, in early June of 2009, I contacted support again and they told me it needed to be replaced. I had to pay shipping again for another in warranty exchange.
Problem 4: The replacement robot arrived and worked for a while. In March of 2010, it went into, "Diagnostic Mode," and they tell me it needs to be replaced. As the replacement warranties only carry the remaining warranty of your original robot, I can now pay 180 dollars for something that will only work for a couple months.
Cleaning: The Robot washes well. I used it on tile and hardwood floors in my house. I was very happy when it worked.
Battery charge: I could get 2 washing cycles out of one charge in the beginning, but after a while, could get through about 1.5 cleanings on the battery. The replacement robots did not come with new batteries, so this is based on the battery life of the original battery.
Virtual Walls: One of my virtual walls never worked. That's a whole other issue I never addressed with IRobot support.
Getting Stuck: The Washing robot does get stuck more often than the Roomba. I simply closed heating vents in the floor and covered them with pieces of wood so the robot couldn't even touch them.
I agree with the other reviewer who said the quality is not as good as the Rooba. They aren't even designed the same in terms of plugs. It seems that they were two independent designs from two companies that do not relate to each other in any way.
I spent over 1000 between the original 3 robot purchase, cleaning solution and the in warranty exchange shipping. For one year of use, it was not worth it and have found myself having to use the Hoover Floormate more often than not. Each in warranty exchange took about 3 weeks between shipping the old robot back and the new robot arriving. They did offer me a 30% discount off a 0 purchase price to replace this last robot. I have decided to try the fix on the web for the Diagnostic Mode issue when I have time. A fix for the issue is on the web. Otherwise I will continue to use my Floormate. I have had it since 2002 and never once had to perform an in warranty exchange and it cost me significantly less money. All and all, I think the Scooba has cost me more wasted time and money in phone calls to support and in warranty exchanges then the time I would have spent washing the floors with the Floormate.
Diagnostic Mode: There is a common issue with the Scooba getting "stuck" in Diagnostic mode. It is noted in multiple forums on the web that it has to do with the contacts on the clean button. IRobot technical support will only offer you a replacement robot at a discounted price when you hit the problem after the original 1 year warranty. Even if it is your 3rd robot. Remember that in warranty exchange robots only carry the remainder of the one year warranty of the first robot.

Spare has not resolved the problem. iRobot never called as promised, e-mail. After I called, and with other moron of customer service, they send another Scooba. All Paris, if it works? Rating: 5.1

To make it short. . . This is my substitute 4 of this model, and as of yesterday, I will send my Scooba in backyards. All the above were defective and / or broken. It takes a real effort to get ready just to clean this thing. You need to draw water into the tank of contaminated water and stir several times, then prime the pump before each use. It’s quick and chaotic. The unit is very loud. Although they do not seem to be the cleaning solution and possibly a part of the solution during the cycle, the water is still very much on the ground. Then you end up with streaks of water. Do not expect to simply running the camera while you go. Most jammed the camera or the dirty water tank fill and finish the origin of the cycle. Then it’s back in the sink is to draw water into the dirty water tank and Prime Minister of the pump and we hope that the device is ready recommencer.Sérieusement, I wanted to work, so the Scooba. I have many, many chances to prove me wrong, given the update to the 350 model 380th It is only a great loss! A Swiffer Cleaner or Bona is much faster and more efficace.Sur the good side iRobot Customer Support has been very proactive when I call. They replaced my unit several times and virtual walls. Unfortunately I had to pay to ship back several times, the old units. Dear my $ $ $ if back! Rating: 5.2

I bought this product as part of a Roomba, Scooba package, Dirt Dog. I hate washing floors and thought I had found the réponse.J’ve had was the purchase in September 2008.Problème 1: soil washing offered it does not really suck water. I contacted support IRobot sent me a new cleaning head in September 2008. I should have known what would be a sign must be. I went to use the bot to about double semaine.Problème two-clothes: In March 2009, the robot was in “diagnostic mode.” I again contacted IRobot said he had to be replaced and they would exchange warranty. I had to shipping. Problem 3: Pay the robot replacement has arrived and it always turns and turns and not clean. He has never cleaned anything. So, in early June 2009, I sat back support and they said it should be replaced. I needed for another delivery in exchange for pay garantie.Problème 4: The robot replacement arrived and worked for a while. In March 2010 he joined the “diagnostic mode, and they say it must be replaced. Guarantee as a substitute, that the remainder of the warranty is on your robot at home, I now pay $ 180 for something that only works for some mois. Nettoyage the robot easy to wash. I used it on tile and hardwood floors in my house. I was very happy when he could not travaillé.charge Battery I received two washes on a single charge, at the beginning, but after a while, could rise to about one fifth cleanup battery. Robots replacement not come with new batteries if based on the autonomy of the original battery. Virtual Walls: One of my virtual walls worked before. It is an entirely different question, which I never used the support have occupied the iRobot.Tomber: The robot makes washing more often than the Roomba. I stuck closed the heating vents in the floor and covered with pieces of wood, so that the robot could not even toucher.Je agree with the criticism of others said the quality is not as good as Roob. They are not even designed the same in terms of marketing opportunities. It seems that these two ve views of two independent companies, which are not linked with each other No façon.J ‘most of the time spent from 1000 between the three initial purchase of the robot, the cleaning solution and guaranteed delivery in exchange. For a year of use, it was not worth it and I found myself with a Hoover Floormate use most often. Every guarantee in exchange lasted about three weeks between the old robot sent back and the new robot comes. you have to replace me a discount of 30% discount on a purchase price of $ 180, the last robot decided. I, try the update via the Internet, the diagnostic mode question if I have time. A fix for the problem is on the Web. If I continue to use my Floormate. I have carried out since 2002 and have never had a warranty replacement and it cost me a lot less money. All in all, I think that I support the costs of Scooba more loss of time and money in phone calls and the exchange of safety, so the time I spent washing floors with Floormate.Le diagnostic mode: There is a problem shared with the Scooba is stuck in the diagnostic mode. It should in many forums on the Internet to do with the contacts on the Clean button. IRobot support has pointed out, you have replaced one robot at a discount, if you take the problem from the original one year warranty. Even if it is your third robot. Remember that the robots exchange warranty only the remaining warranty period of one year take the first robot. Rating: 5.2

I bought last year as a gift. I did all the research and read all the reveiw and they are almost right. The unit does a decent job of cleaning, but requires supervision. It is strong enough, the battery life lasts only a cleaning, it takes several hours to recharge. If you have a big complicated plan in your kitchen (we have an “L” shaped counter), you will need for the extra virtual wall, and do it in two sections. The battery Wil ago, but not the solution tank. It has not been preserved, corners or near the baseboard tous.Probablement of the most annoying for me is the introduction to their operation. I have all the chairs in the kitchen to another room, or they put on top of the table that the device in them when I leave room to move. For this reason, we have probably not use it as much as I would have thought you before buying. Even with all this, it is still probably beats sweeping and cleaning me, it’s never really failed anyway! Rating: 5.3 done
